Research focused on improving the management of symptoms in MS.
Exercise can help to maintain muscle strength, mobility, manage fatigue and improve mood in MS. We gave feedback to a physiotherapy and sports science research project to develop a home-based physical activity intervention for people with moderate-to-severe MS-related disability and also helped to develop a protocol to investigate the use of an exoskeleton as an assistive device to facilitate exercise in MS.
A focus group was held to review the need for and design of a smartphone app to help self-manage fatigue. More details can be found here.
